I use a lot of photos on my blog as they are part of my Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy. A lot of people end up on my blog from an image search. (Click on the Thumbnails for larger versions)
Where do I get my photos? Here is a list of stock photo sites. Some are free, some charge a fee, some are royalty free and others require a royalty. I will let you sort that out, but this list is a great resource:

Hi
Royalty Free images are not free to use.
You’ve produced a very useful list of stock libraries, thank you. However you say: “…some are royalty free and others require a royalty” . Unless I’ve misunderstood what you’ve written, that statement rather suggests to those who might not be familiar with using stock images that because an images is called Royalty Free or RF, that it is free to use. This is not the case. Royalty free means that you purchase the image license one, and usually do not have to pay further royalties for further uses.
If you took RF images off sites like Getty and Alamy for example, without paying, you could end up with a hefty bill.
The whole Royalty Free, Licensed, Rights Managed thing is quite a mine field and caution is advised.
There is also a pretty good search engine (click on my name) that can be incorporated with adsense so site owners can make money. It feeds off google but at least the searches can produce cash instead of just pretty pictures.
I think you’re post is excellent and I appreciate all these image sites. I will book mark tem all. THanks.
